A nice round number.....1900 Days For Me

schedule 22 Jan 2024

So I figured that it was time for me to write again. Nice to see old friends doing well and newcomers taking part on this site. I would like to ask those who have quit for a year or more to let us know if what we feared is true. Do you crave to have a smoke still, or does the smell of tobacco or a wisp of smoke just provoke a memory?

Can we abolish the fear that these first miserable cravings last forever?

My hubby, daughter and I can assure you that cravings are long gone and that we love our status as non-smokers. Life is good!

Hi Shaz,

We love raising issues here and yours posses a very interesting quandary here? I think about one year does solve many habit's and addiction's for most people. However, I want to dispel the old adage of once an addict, always an addict!

It'll be very interesting to hear what other's say??

Great post

Well I made it to 6 months smoke free

I'm very happy about that. Although I still get cravings I am forging through. Looking forward to another 6 months smoke free.

Howdy Happiness,

It'll be 7 smoke free years in March for me. No cravings and no desire to light up. I know that I used to be a serious smoker and couldn't imagine my life without cigs but nowadays I don't feel like an ex-smoker. I feel like a non-smoker, the way I felt before I got addicted smoking. Cheers and good luck.
