Hi team,

I haven't written a post of my own since the onset of winter. I was announcing my 3 month milestone. I am happy to announce that I have already celebrated my 6 month mark some weeks ago! Infact, Yesterday was 29 weeks completed, and now loving life, being free from the prison of the endless need to buy those smokes at any cost. From $27 everyday to upto $47 a day depending where I bought the damn thing's?

Anyway, I'm doing ok. Winter is loosing it icy grip, even though its 0 degrees outside right now early morning with spring a day or two away.

I'm optimistic to stay away from the dreaded weed this time. As long as I dont have one puff ever, I will be alright.

I'm grateful for you guy's writing stories and sending post's to help keep us motivated

Stay Strong

PuffNoMore

I am so happy for your success at last PuffNoMore. You had me concerned for a while. I vet the past 6 months felt a lot less painful than those first few weeks vefore you threw in the towel the first time. I was truly concerned that your nrt was just keeping you from advancing . I felt so at a loss as how to help you, you wanted to quit so vadly. Even others gave you ectra support and motivation. Credit to you for sticking with it and trying the grasp the concept of the mindset. You have done it PuffNoMore. You have lived up to the name and taking a turn at veing a great mentor. Through it all you helped others along the way. You are loved and admired. Keep commenting and posting!

Hello Leah. I'm glad your keeping an eye open for us. It's been a test of character in every encounter to Quit, this time the hardest hurdles were early on. I starved the nico-demon to death! Those previous attempts were full of nicotine replacement's and now think I took too high of dose and for too long in weeks. Having said that, this time I was ready. Ready in my mind. For myself and so many of us addicts to the smoking delivery of nicotine. I believe one has to find his/her mindset. A unbreakable self belief and ready to break the habit that we thought we enjoyed?

Take the hard-line, for a few tough weeks and break free.

CongratulationsPuffNoMore, good job for starving that nico-demon, we have been with you along the way throughout this time, and I am so proud you finally got hold with a firm grip. NOPE (not one puff ever)

schedule 30 Aug 2020

Not only a firm grip. A choke-hold will remain in place for my foreseeable future.

schedule 30 Aug 2020

thanks Nuts. I just want people to remember that idle time, is not an excuse to go out to have a smoke.

Any excuse, is not good enough.

schedule 31 Aug 2020

Congratulations, I knew you could do it. Stay strong and remember never give in to that thought that a single cigarette wont hurt. I only mention that because even after a year the thought has come into my head, easy to resist but we must always be on our guard.

Thanx so much guys. I am glad to have gotten to know all of you. Looking at the list of respondents, it's clear that we have slightly different ways of reaching our Quit's .A couple of champix Quitters. Some Cold Turkey's. Visulisationary's. lol, Is that a word? Nicotine replacement therapy's. You name it, it's the want, need and true grit and self belief that has brought us to stop.

I cant thank you all enough for supporting me through it.

Thanks again team.

wow Puffnomore, go you! I like your phrase; starve the nocitine demon, I shall use this as my mantra as I wobble through the next few weeks of the pull and push addiction does to our minds. Thanks for being a great motivator. Cheers
