Withdrawal symptoms

Hi guys. It has been 14 days since I last smoked. I have been feeling dizzy, nauseous, disoriented and downright frustrated. Please let me now how long these symptoms last for. I went cold turkey one fine Sunday but the persistent fatigue makes me feel like smoking is the solution to feeling myself again.

Hi ZK,

Everyone has their own trials & tribulations with Quitting. Some take month's and some can get over it at a snap of a finger or two?

It all depends if you feel you miss those time filling ciggies

OR

Say good riddance and welcome the no smoking lifestyle immediately after your last one?

Everyone is so so different.

We seem to think that a cold turkey Quit is often between 1 to 5 weeks is normal?

So keep smoke free and see what part of that time spectrum you may find yourself in.

A great start for a desired end to smoking. It gets better with time an easier with a positive attitude. Stay determined, it is well worth it. Read and learn from other experiences.

Welcome ZK Good advice so far, so stay close and read others journey to help you. I can remember feeling tired and frustrated for quite some time around 4 weeks or so. Keep yourself busy with your new activities which you are attempting, (this can also make you tired for a few weeks). Remember the good things each and every day. NOPE (not one puff ever)

The solution to your fatigue is resting, not smoking. Smoking masks the problems in your body and makes you think everything is fine.

Your symptoms will gradually disappear after the third day, but they will be present from time to time, for eg. you will be fine on days 100, 101, 102 and you'll cough and get shortness of breath on day 103. It gets better...

My worst day was 11th, getting really better started in w5.. 1st week was suprisly ok, the second was the worst, after 2 weeks it was better, easier and still dangerous in some period of a day.. totally another level of feeling and started consider myself as non smoker started on day 50.. Since it I know I can be and will be without it.. It's better and very good new life which I don't want to loose so will be you as well, so keep going.. if it's tought, keep pushing more.. do not give up, remember, excuses sound best for the person who make them up.. ;)
