You are so right. Tobacco is evil. Taking back control of our lives can bring immense joy and satisfaction. Revel in your new found freedom and interests. Good Job!

Wouldn't it be grand if local councils could eradicate tobacco growing. Similar to weed control and encouraged people like yourself to kill poisonous trees.
um,,,, Is tobacco growing legal in Australia? If not, where does it come from?
TABACCO IS POISONOUS
Thanks for watching!, sharpen your Axe. A former work mate was employed on a Legal tobacco farm in Bundaberg Nth QLD, he was telling me they use the same Insectisides, mitecides, fungicides, Chemicals as Cotton farms use to control Mites/aphids/helliothis Moths/Grubs/ etc. Is Sprayed straight onto the leaf. This is only a small aspect of the Carcinogenic chemicals applied to the Plant. Fertilizers have radiation inhibitors within them to make the plant grow extremely fast $$. Then there is the Criminal aspect of applying more addictive substances to the Leaf within the Production Factories. Keep this all in Mind, when you want a Cig. Illegal chop chop(tobacco) can not be trusted either.

If you have info on applying addictive substances to tobacco in any form in whatever level of production would be highly valued. Because most of us are still trying to break arguably the most addictive drug known to man.
I would imagine 40 years ago, Quitting was much easier then, than it is now.
Hence ; I think tobacco, nicotine is more addictive because of added substances.
Thanks for clarifying that they grow it legally in Australia.
I wasnt sure it was legally grown here. We are often hearing of Illegal growers getting busted.

Oh, yes members. I found this piece as I have assumed that in general, Tobacco Giants were making it more and more addictive over the decades.
A book recently published in the United States, based on hundreds of documents from US tobacco companies that were forcibly published, found that in addition to all of the above, they add a substance called levulinic acid, which increases the binding of nicotine to receptors in the brain.
Thus, tobacco cigarettes contain a mixture of many substances, in addition to tobacco, that operate on many aspects to strengthen the biological addictive effects of cigarettes. They enhance the activity of nicotine, increase its concentration, shorten the time it takes for it to become available, expand airways, and inhibit the cough reflex. These ingredients were added to the mix after a long process and years of research and scientific development initiated by the cigarette companies.

In other words, cigarettes are an adapted (in the negative sense of the word) product that has been developed to be stronger and more addictive than in its natural state through exploiting research tools and scientific knowledge. New studies show that 10-25% of smokers will develop symptoms of cigarette addiction after smoking even just one cigarette.
Given the numerous health dangers of smoking and the high chances of developing an addiction, which the tobacco companies have apparently acted to enhance through the means mentioned above, it is highly recommended to not try smoking - even once
