schedule 29 Feb 2020

Hi all, ive been cruising along enjoying my smoke free life and barely thinking about it. Last night i went out to club with hubby drinking and dancing with band and he slipped up. I felt a twinge for about 3 seconds flat and said to myself no way girl, just breathe and side step this. I thought about if i did what it would taste like and i knew yucky yuck and NOPE💪💪💪 Held strong and true and so so grateful today🙏💞

schedule 29 Feb 2020

Well done Leeann, congrats resisting the temptation. Time flies, 56 days already. Awesome. Keep it up. Cheers.

schedule 29 Feb 2020

While it is awesome that you resisted temptation I am sorry to hear that your hubby was not as strong. I hope that he is as determined as you in your desire to be free of nicotine. You are doing great! I hope your hubby also benefits from this forum and has also read Allan Carr. Mine follows along and finds it helps immensely. I hope your honey will dust himself off and keep going. Finding the right mindset after knowing the truth is really helpful in letting go of our past relationship with nicotine. Making it easier for others to also succeed when they doubt their ability to endure satisfies us all immensely i am sure. Belief in oneself and positivity is key . Assurance that quitting smoking is possible and sustainable gives hope to most

Well done Leeann! 56 days. 8 weeks. Good on you mate.

Sorry for the old man slipping up, but so stoked for you resisting. You should be feeling super proud of yourself. I hope hubby is not being to hard on himself. Stand up, dust off, reset.

Hey there Tyg!

I can see that I'm partly responsible for some mix-up. I can see how My post may sound arrogant, like some high-flying Quitter on my high horse, but, I am still learning to re-adapt my life without those stupid killer smokes. And I sometimes learn things from these wonderful ex-smokers offering advice encouragement from the forum. I sometimes offer my advice through my many failed Quit attempts and i realize my advice wont be super helpful to most, but just happy I may help someone.

I hope you can reconsider sticking around here and thank god we are ex-smokers

schedule 1 Mar 2020

I don/t think you or anyone else has anything to apologzse for PuffNoMore. Wring is an imperfect language with unheard tones. It is unfortunate when our words are misconstrued. Sometimes when I reply, it may not be a personal, but a general answer. I hope all comments are helpful to someone as they are given as thoughts to ponder, just another point of view. Everyone on this site, whether loud and proud or silent and unassuming deserves credit for at least contemplating what many fear. I only wish we could take the fear out and replace it with great excitement for the changes it will bring. Perhaps more would actually embrace the journey and find it much easier.

Whoops!

(my comment was meant for Tyq)

Never Mind Leeane, Please keep an Extra bit of determination if your hubby continues to smoke? I hope he can Quit again,

Stay Head_Strong Buddy, we are going so well!

H Leeann. Power to you. As you can see, just one puff can take you back where you started. Those days are best avoided. Just not worth erring... Enjoy your decision.
