Tell us about your experience with iCanQuit

Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, iCanQuit is run by a small team at the Cancer Institute NSW. We're planning to update and improve the site that many of you have been visiting for years. To ensure we make the best changes possible, we would love to get your input on how we can enhance both the website and this great community.
If you have 5-10 minutes, we invite you to share your thoughts by completing our survey. As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey will have the chance to enter a draw to win a $200 gift voucher.
Survey link:
https://bit.ly/icanquit-survey
(you'll have to copy + paste the link into your browser's address bar)
Kind regards,
The iCanQuit Team
(Please note that if you have already completed the survey through email or via a popup on the iCanQuit website, you do not need to complete it again.)

I am sorry to see that my opinion is felt to be of no value since I don't live in Australia.
But, that said, I will have my say here. Please keep things simple, as many older people may participate and the clicking on a picture captcha for securitiy is easier than typing letters and numbers seen. . Clicking on a saved tab to find IcanQuit and going straight to the NEW stories would also be beneficial. This is the way it had been in the past and it was easier for newcomers to navigate. It also makes it a bit quicker to pop in and reply.

I am also not from Australia and joined a few months ago .
1) Easier access to the main page .
2)More space to write as people have to cut short things that I feel people could share if there was more .
Find ways for more interaction amongst the members here . More ways for open conversation about quitting . Most of your topics here are categorized and leaves not much room for feedback amongst ourselves .
No matter where we are quits , one day or 20 years helping each other quit is a winning tool , so sharing that experience and support matters .
Maybe weekly article by your team ..

I wrote and posted two articles replying to this , where did the second go ? This has happened more than once . Forgotten now what I’d written but here is another thought as a newcomer here
Please monitor the site more ( the last spam stuff almost deterred me from participating at all here ) please secure the site .
I want to thank especially Happiness and others for making me feel welcome here as a newcomer .

Yes, I had forgotten how annoying it is to be cut off in the middle of a thought . There was never a restriction on the length of replies in the past. People thoughts, feelings and advice are an important aspect of this site. No one has to read it , Give us FREEDOM.

Thanks BLieve and Happiness for the suggestions. There will be more opportunities to comment on the future direction of the site over the coming months, from all members, not just those in Australia. For now I'll work with the tech team to see if we can increase the length of the posts you can make.

Thank you , that will be very helpful . Also can the post thing be fixed so there is not such a delay before it actually posts .As a newcomer to your site it was frustrating . I did not realize there was a delay before it posted so kept hitting it , then it posted several times with no way of deleting some of them . I noticed others as well have done the same . Thanks .

Well thank you for an opportunity to speak.
First off
I went to copy and paste your link Doesnt work! (not everybody uses browsers from microsoft or google) your tech team should understand that?!
So how about any member who replies here can enter the lucky door prize of $200 please.
AND
Since you mentioned that you need some month's of member;s input's to enable your little team to formulate change's and improvements, I'd like to respond a bit later in order to compile some concise document to help your endevours of improving this SITE
Yours sincerely
PuffNoMore

Hi PuffNoMore, if the link is not working for you, you can try this one: https://artdconsultants.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bfmZHuO5AItmog6?group=popup - please let us know how you go.
Only users that complete the survey via the link are eligible for the $200 gift certificate, we can't accept comments in this thread as entries in the draw.
But of course happy to hear your suggestions to improve the website here or can email them through to us (link is in the footer of the website).
Thanks.
The ICQ Team.

Hi, i just joined but read quite a few blogs without joining til now. The site seems slow and could maybe use some more servers. LoL. Awesome site I am just getting the hang of it. A+++

Hello.
To the Moderator ICQ team.
I'm PuffNoMore and for reasons I dont understand, I can not make a comment to enter your survey? How have you been going with others? Are you getting others feedback thru your pop-ups? Or through your other email links? I have tried both and failed to connect. Could be my problem from this end? Highly probable as I am slowly phasing out microsoft platforms and not using their latest windows either.
Either way. Maybe you could let us know if other members are entering your survey?
PS
I did email your auspices Cancer Council of NSW. It seems that, that atlea

.....at least my email was sent.
Thank you for trying to make the site better> I really dont know how, other than what others have already suggested?
However we need a hel of alot more participants to help make it relevant again.
THanks

So the link above is not working for me either. Have joined and posted 5 stories since 2019 and was sent an email sometime back wanting to use my experiences within the NSW cancer institute. Agreed to this but never had a reply from them. Any way as it is the link gives me this message (We're sorry, you are not eligible for this survey. Thank you for your time today.) And I'm in QLD Australia. Cheers

Hi all, the survey is now open and available to all iCanQuit users in Australia, not just NSW.
@puffnomore - we've responded to your email, let me know if you didn't receive our reply. Over 100 users have successfully completed the survey, if you couldn't proceed due to being out of state you can now enter the survey.
@wazza58 thanks for letting us share your post on our socials last year, the post did go up and is available here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=612164977756864&set=pb.100068901022755.-2207520000&type=3
