LAST PUFF!

Hello again, finally took the plunge two weeks ago and have no doubt my last smoke was Thursday night the 6th of February.
I,m not going to allow myself to become complacent with my success, as I have let myself get hooked from just one Puff before and will not fall into that trap ever again.
My advice to those who havent Quit yet is to make a plan, set a date for your last one and dont look back, because in my case the "looming Quit" was far more painful and scarier than the total relief of my mind when I knew I had that last one. Give it a go and be free of the burden and surprised how much easier life can be without being ruled by them.
I Wish You Well.

Thanks Red.
There has been quite a few of you guys that can share in the credit's!
Ultimately, I have to acknowledge my belief in myself, without that self-belief, I could still be stuck in that trap.
My missus has been an incredible support this time too. Its been alot easier not having her sneak out for a cig as she Quit easily sometime ago.

Congrats PuffNoMor. I am impressed by your courage to finally join the rank of ex smokers. You encouraged scores of people on this site to become smoke free. I am certainly cheering for you success because you most certainly deserve it. Stay strong and practice NOPE not one puff ever. Cheers.

I am so proud of you and your lady. it may have taken time to build the confidence and courage but you did it, and you will now reap the rewards that you helped countless others to achieve. You have shown that persistance pays off and quitting smoking is indeed possible. We knew you could do it. We know that anyone can. Congratulations my friend!

Thanks again my friends,,,,,
Red........I always knew what you meant and had to find it within myself to make it work for my own belief system.
Nuts...... I can honestly say I was not ready for a Quit last year. I am gracious for your support and so happy that I got very ready this year!
Safe.......I definitively am aware of the want to Quit has to be stronger, than the want to smoke and the NOPE Is the ONLY way for me.
Happiness.... You are one h*ll of a trooper. So much research and learning! There's too many positive's and good things about you to write, so I'm happy to call you my friend. And also making me buy that book. thx sis

If I can Quit, anyone can.
And If you need to quit for any reason and you find yourself failing to manage it,,,,
OR
constantly backing out of it.,,,,
OR
always coming up with an excuse to keep smoking!
Well, you have to find some way to convince your mind of doing it.
I have had some help, suggestions, research, my own experiences, encouragement from many stories on this site and moral support from many too. But, It was reading the Allen Carrs- Easy Way To Stop Smoking book, that flipped the switch in my head that I needed.
Quitting can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be impossible.
IT'S mostly A MIND-GAME.
Give it a go smokers, there's nothing to lose!

Congratulations PuffNoMore, you should be super proud mate. No need for me to give you any advice, you're all over it. Take a bow and good for you for sticking by the site until you were ready to comitt.👍

Thanks Leeanne, I do remember you saying that you were sick and tired of thinking of your upcoming Quit and so you jumped into it. I followed suit albeit a couple of months behind,.
This is the only Quit that matters Buddy, for both of us!

Super proud of both of you for sticking it out. Welcome to the winners circle! I love hearing all of your success stories everyone and happy for all of you.

Congratulations Puff no more, you are right when you say it's a mind game even the thought of starting a plan was more horrendous than the actual plan itself, why do we give ourselves so much pain?. Now you are on the way to Puffing No More

So proud of you, this is your time, and it flies, one week, 2 weeks is the biggest hurdle done, you got this, go puffnomore

Appreciate your comments girls. I have had some moments where I could have chewed my arm off in frustration. lol,. some despondency and lack of direction at times, but things are getting alot better now into week 3 and I'm on my way!

Make that $424 over 16 days! Not a bad pay-rise.
To see the "money pot" rise everyday is all the motivation I need.
And to think that I burnt around $800 to $1,000 every month.
I was stupid.

Good on you Puff.
My savings is $24 a day. $168 a week.
Unbelievable!
Wish I had been saving that for the past 5 years instead of burning it.
At least the stupidity is in the past now. Never again.

Oh, Guys. I have not factored in those times where I would buy the killers at sky high prices at convenient places like petrol stations, train stations and my local corner shop.
also I was a 30 a dayer at $39 a day. ( @$273 a week).. I managed to cut down to 20 a day in the leed up months to my Quit. Saving,(@$197 a week).
I'm never going back.

Thanks so much Lea, Thursdays are always my busiest days. usually work my mates farm and tonite started floor cleaning of a medium sized pharmacy twice a week. Neither pay much , but, I dont smoke!
3 weeks done tonight,.
I still have some anxiety here and there
BUT
NO MATER WHAT , I WILL NEVER SMOKE EVER AGAIN.

Good on you Puff. 3 weeks down is great going! It's no longer a case you CAN DO it. You HAVE DONE it.

Thanks Lando,,,,I'm just getting life back to normal. Actually, I should say "To my new normal... Because it was normal to smoke unfortunately.
I'm sure your getting used to your new normal non-smoking life like its second nature by now, I hope.
