Well i stopped smoking on the 23rd.Dec. 2010, and it was so easy no cravings no mood swings no losing my temper. And i was a heavy for 40 odd years i think you have to want to give up, My partner thinks it is great that i have stopped smoking. I did a course of champix with no side effects. I wanted to stop and champix was the tool i used, champix may not be for everyone but i wanted to stop the nicotine right away and it worked for me. But what ever method you choose not smoking is the way to go, Well godluck to you all

Thanks for your story eric. It's great to hear.
I used champix last year but didn't quite make it, obviously! I found it really helped forget about cigarettes but my problem with it was it made me feel sick. My doctor told me she could give me pills for that too but for some reason, before I went back this year to see my doctor, I put on a patch and here I am 23 days later. Like you say, whatever works...

So right! You have to make that choice. Fantastic effort.
