Oops! I forgot to sign in for my 9th anniversary of being quit. That was May 30th. How time flies and how the savings grow. Currently $126 500 saved from the ashtray. Also a fantastic 'pay rise'. When I quit, cold turkey, a carton cost $196. Now the same carton costs $487. Numbers peak for themselves. Back then I had quite a few quit buddies on this site and we egged each other on over a few years. I know Dobbin, one of my quit buddies whose name I recall will reach the 9 year anniversary at the end of August. We plan to keep the 100 day difference in place forever. It's not a race and may that gap never alter. Can only hope other quitters will succeed. Keep telling yourself why you must quit. It is after all your decision.

Hi Lia,

Its great to hear from you!

Serious Quitter's do understand MUST.

"Must" Is the best word. We know that words like; Wish, Hope, want & Pray And Need to Quit can land short most often. Not always, Anyone who had their last smoke is no longer that smoker they used to be!

"Must"

Wow ! Thats a lot of money . ( Quitting is a job ) Good pay I’d say. Congratulations ! I love your analogy .The pay off of not smoking has had the best benefit package of any job I know . I feel joy for you share your elation and celebration of 9 years quit. Your celebration and testimony is living proof that by sticking with our quits ODAAT we can all (with positivity ) be looking ahead and see a future living life joyfully forever smoke free . Forever is nothing to fear but to welcome . Keep adding $ and keep coming back ( soon ) ok . Congrats again Lia .
