Something I didn't realise until I've been quit for 2 years

Hey everyone, I'd like to share my thoughts and experience with you all. I've been quit for 2 years (23/02/2022 at 12.30pm). Two weeks after I quit, I found out I was pregnant after 6.5 years of trying. My son is a perfect tantrum-y 17 month old toddler. Now baby #2 is on the way.
When I was 17, HSC year, my dad died of cancer (melanoma). I lashed out. Treated him and everyone terribly. I thought it was my biggest regret not being fair to him. Being angry and treating him like garbage.
It's not my biggest regret. My dad always knows I love him and how I was, he knows that isn't me.
The day I began smoking is my absolute biggest regret. Early in this pregnancy I developed an alarming cough. Everything is fine, but it made me realise even though I've quit years ago, I can still develop serious health issues. Starting to smoke cigarettes and continuing to smoke heavily is something I can never undo. I have everything to lose now. Everyone has something or someone to lose. We can do it

We must have published our story simultaneously. Had I read yours now, I doubt that I would have sent mine in>
God only know's what damage tobacco product's have created.?
I was the last born after 4 miscarriages and one sister died with hole in her heart age 13 day's.
Not proven, however, probably due to my mother heavy smoking.
S..t happens.
Who would know?

Sister born and died in in 1964. I was born in 1967 and possibly alive due to Quitting?

Hey Puff, You're right, who would know? My husband's grandma had quit smoking for 30 years then suddenly developed lung cancer. The cough I had alarmed my husband because he said it was the same cough as his grandma's. I hope you're well :)

My Two Grand mothers never smoked anything their whole lives, yet they both developed stomach cancer and both gone early.
Who would know?
We have a little community here.
But
WE all remain agronomists whoops, autonomous
I mean annonomous..

Yeah Im well. Well over 4 years free
Im never going back now
I dont smoke no matter what happens
thank you

I was reading up on the ingredients of a cigarette. Man, these tobacco companies are sneaky. According to google, carob extract is an ingredient. Pretty harmless. But the article went on to say that when it's being heated and burned, it creates cancer causing properties. They don't say that though because the extract is the ingredient. The carcinoma is being made by burning the ingredient. This is google mind you, so who knows if it's correct

Yes
Its astonishing what is added.
We cant say too much because The 5 Big tobacco companies could have us extinguished for speaking-out?
They also responsible for hard drugs at our beaches too!
They can see the end of cigaretes, so ,they enter into other products.
Im shutting up now as IP address can easily be pilfered if they want too.
Congrates on your 2 years of FREEDOM

To end on a happier note. ...While damage to some extent has been done, much of it is reversible after considerable time. I recently read that the cilia in your lungs can heal and become active again to heal your lungs. Perhaps even to the extent that after quitting for 15 years you can be expected to have the same likelihood of heart and/or stroke as someone who never smoked. It is NEVER too late to quit!

Oh yes. Many ills and sicknesses do fix and repair even in the first few day's.
Like you sometimes say, and Quote you Happiness...
"Winner Winner Chicken Dinner" unquote.
When we Quit smoking....
"Everyone is a winner"
PS Life does always come with some regrets, Just dont let it define you. Let it go E&S.
