Well day 28 and ready to conquer. I am shocked what actually happens when you go cold Turkey I cannot get my head around how our government is allowed to sell such a highly addictive drug absolutely disgusting anyway .. after 44 years ..28 days feels amazing not there yet but it's getting better 😌 ☺

Proud of you Chellie. I knew you could do it. We all have doubts in the beginning but can work through them when we keep positive. Things do get easier and thankfully smoking is now frowned upon rather than the norm as it was decades ago. The majority were smokers and democracy won. We have a right to choose. Unfortunately, we did not really choose to smoke, but found ourselves addicted to something we could never imagine wanting to do for the rest of our lives. Worse, we accepted it and even made excuses and even encouraged others to smoke. Why would someone do something that that did not enjoy? Addiction. Feeding the addiction made us feel better than the cravings if we did not. Just a vicious cycle.

Thank goodness for the internet and available information like this site to open eyes and change minds. We can quit smoking, and we are proof.

Congrats Chellie! You have given me inspiration for Day 1 - 7 hours since my last sneaky ciggie. I should have given up 6 weeks ago for an operation but now 7 days out I am regretting it and need to stop 🛑 now! Maybe too little too late but I need to go cold turkey.

What helped you the most to go cold turkey?
