91 days quit today and over $2,000 saved.

I wanted to share a thought I had today which was brilliant. I don’t worry about premature death. When I smoked I was always thinking I would die soon, that I would miss my kids growing up and how selfish I was. This negative daily self talk really takes a toll on a person, it makes you feel small, anxious and out of control. Well now I never worry about ANY of those things, I no I am not out of health risks after 3 months, but I bet the release of all that stress, guilt and shame I was carrying has added a few years to my journey anyway.

We all deserve to feel good about ourselves. We all deserve to love ourselves truly. Smoking doesn’t offer that, when you really look into it, it’s not just a smelly, expensive, addiction. It steals a small part of you also.

Well I’m here to say, I have made it three months, and you can too. The love for me is growing exponentially, so when you’re ready, jump right on board the love train, think about that fabulous person you are going to be, and enjoy it, you deserve it, the filthy stench of smokes don’t deserve you!

You don’t need luck, you need to believe in yourself. I believe in you! You can do it.

I love it Beij! I also BELIEVE that anyone can quit smoking and even Quit Smoking EASILY with the right mindset. It is NOT a hardship when you want to, when you learn that it did nothing. When you learn that you are an addict and have been brainwashed over the years as a self protecting way of accepting our addiction and not having to have admit that we did something that we came to regret.

When we learn that we are stronger than nicotine, when we learn we can be free and when we learn to accept that notion, then we learn to BELIEVE that we too can escape. Cravings do Not haunt you for years. Even in the worst cases they may just occur a bit more frequently, but are still quite seldom. Stop fearing cravings that you keep alive. Cravings are mere thoughts. Learn to think of cigarettes differently. They did nothing, they cost a fortune and we are very much relieved to be free of them. You can be too.....just BELIEVE.

Health is far more valuable. Choose health and happiness. Choose freedom.

Your post is brilliant. The stress, worry, guilt and shame is gone. OK, The damage of your smoking past could have some unwanted ramifications as you mentioned, but, I believe to move forward stay away from any debate ever lighting up ever again.

Cant change the past. We have learnt from it. We know "no thanks" is the best answer"

I believe 90 days smoke-free is the PASSPORT to Freedom for most.

Great post, because when I was smoking, I felt very much the same way as you DID.

Yes a great post Bej, if others are reading this, it goes the same way for any worry, I used to worry about not having enough money to pay my bills. Now that worry is no longer there and I look forward (it seems strange) to paying all of my bills on time, and reaping of all other rewards. NOPE (not one puff ever) and happy days instead.

Three weeks now without that terrible taste of nic. This group has been wonderful in terms of staying on track. Those of you who post regularly are simply wonderful. Sometimes in the past weeks, I've thought of having just one cig with a friend when the cravings have been bad, and then I think -- oh then I won't be able to share yet another day of smoke free with all of you here .

I'm telling my nicotine addicted friends about this site.
