On one hand I am so glad you have the perfect MINDSET to Never suck another "cigaretie"

But

Please get a second or third opinion from other doctors,.

I will hope that this 'bad news' is as I hope?

Your doctors permission to chop up with his/hers experiment to operate with Unnecessary surgery?

Be aware, as well as staying Quit.

Puffnomore yes the bad news is what you think it is

It was in my thyroid so that's why I had surgery to take the lump away.

So some treatment now has.to be done

I am well aware

Have been talking with my own doc and this is the next move for me now

Definetly was necessary surgery to take that thyroid out as that was the bad thing inside the thyroid.

We hope we have got it all out.

Ok, Fair enough. I just felt I needed to warn you that some surgeons can be like a mechanic. Sometimes they just want to dismantle to see if they can put it all back together like before>

scientific education thrives on it.

just saying. You'll be ok, if you dont smoke.

Hi Gemma. While I am sorry your thyroid problem has not been put fully in the past yet.... I am sure you are getting it under control and quitting smoking will have helped and will help immensely.

Breathing better is one of the most noticeable change to one's self. I imagine you smell much better to others! I bet you have more money to spend on other things. I bet you are relieved to have that monkey off your back and lessen the stress of health issues. I venture to suggest you are taking better care of yourself. Feeling more energetic, perhaps tasting things and enjoying them more? I 'll bet your pleased as punch with yourself for quitting smoking..

Self pride, self love and becoming an inspiration to others are all different aspects to quitting smoking. We can quit smoking. We are proof. Someone you love may follow suit. How happy would that make you?

Congratulations Gemma, 3 weeks pretty good with all the prodding and poking going on. Would suggest some alternative therapy for the thyroid, when you are up for it, I hope the further surgery results will show a good picture. Let us know how you are going.
