Exercise

Happy new smokeless year everyone! I have been going to the gym for the past two week and this has been a great help in my 12 day quit
Paidi

So Proud of you Paidi.
They say a habit takes 21 days to form. By substituting a bad habit like smoking with a good or beneficial habit like exercise will help to fill those voids some people feel when quitting smoking. You must be estatic in the change and you must feel so much better with being more physically active. I know that that is my next goal. Got to make myself a new good habit this year.
Again Congratulations Paidi. Thanks for posting and letting the rest of the community know!
It has been pretty quiet around here given that people make new Year resolutions. I just hope they are busy reading the material i provided for them and all of our great success stories to get them motivated! My fear is that some may have been persuaded by vapers and doing things by half measure. Only by being nicotine are you truly free when we can proudly claim 'I DON'T SMOKE!
Be Proud Paidi. You did it!

Good work Paidi! 12 days is so awesome. Youre nearly 2 weeks. I knew i was free by then. Im on day 28 and feeling so good.
.
Ive been going for a swim and a spa in my complex. Ive had a go on the walking machine too. I love floating in the water and just being quiet and peaceful. Its so nice for me to do something pleasant. Soothing the soul...
So any new feel good thing you do is your treat. Go for a walk or do something new.

Paidi.
Thank you.
Your on your way now.
If anybody offers you a cigar, I hope you can say no thanks I dont smoke. Under your breath you can tell that Nico-Demon to ef off!!! Stay determined for awhile and you'll find that mindset again.
You know it'll come, because, you was a non-smoker before.
Try to get back to that place in your mind as a very contented non-smoker.
Dont debate it anymore.
Show 'em that you are Boss, Again'
Yours sincerely
Puff

I went for a 3 mile walk This am. I was proud and close to exhausted at the end. Also short of breath! My goal is 4 miles. I was tempted to stop and get some cigars at the halfway point, but resisted in saintly fashion.

How's the walking going Paidi? No stops at the halfway I hope.
Stay the course. Stay free. Life as a non-smoker is like being liberated. We can take this time with ourselves, understanding ourselves and even redefining ourselves should we choose. Many like you and I take up health betterment. Good on us, we abused our bodies far too long. The body is an amazing thing.
Our Minds are truly amazing too. Believe you can do this and you will!

Hi Paidi
I too are hoping that you havent stopped at that half-way house.
I just hope you got past the hump when not smoking gets so easy that its just a distant memory

I played golf yesterday with a guy who smoked cigars. He offered me one and I saw “I don’t smoke “.
Day 17

I am sooo happy FORE you Paidi. I knew you could do it. You just had to know it. Let Nicotine know that you are the DRIVER. You've got this! So proud of you. Keep up the great positive thinking!

Hi Paidi, Sounds like you are having a great ROUND! You are still on-COURSE and on PAR. Those BOGIES of thoughts of one puff (putt) will arise from time to time and its up to you to resist that HANDICAP. :)
Keep those Yips and JITTERS under control.
Its a mind game.

Yet another day under your belt Paidi. You're the ringmaster now. He[s just not fast enough now with his hook and You've got nicotine down for the KO. So proud of you. The crowd is cheering you on too!
