One Year Quit Anniversary

Its been a year today and I start my first day of another year of staying smoke free.
What I have learnt in this year is to mantain a healthy balance between obsessing about not smoking and not getting complacent. Obsess just enough that you don't think its easy to stay quit but don't fret about not smoking so much that it consumes your days with it
This forum has been helpful; just to get inspired from other perople sharing their quit experiences!

Congratulations Aniruddha, you are doing amazingly well. Go you good thing. You are so right to not obsess but you also cannot get complacent. Take it from someone who knows all to well. If you let that guard slip, it's a damn slippery slope back to square one. Hope you have spoilt yourself in some way to reward yourself for being a star!!!!

Congratulations Aniruddha Yes a balanced attitude is a good one to adopt, when you are feeling too comfortable about it, then a sideswipe could knock you down again. Better to have a bright cloud hanging over you, than the dark one you had in the past. Glad you celebrated with us instead of the cigarette.

Congrats on a terrific accomplishment. You are setting a great example for your son by being a non smoker. Cheers

An awesome accomplishment, but not surprising as you have always taken the positive outlook and taken things in stride. Congratulations and stay an active member of our community for your benefit as well as others. We can inspire others to believe they too can be happy non-smokers.
