Woohoo

1 week as a non smoker how the time flys by I’m so happy and proud of myself it’s something I never thought I would be able to do but I have, changing my habits has helped a lot I chew a lot of gum now haha still have the odd thought about how I’d love a smoke right now but not acting on it, it’s not going to win this time.

whoohoo Cole. How you feel is all that matters. You are positive... which is by far the best medicine for this social disease. Stay strong and positive and you will be one to join the winners circle. I never thought i could either just 106 days ago, but here i stand and intend to stay standiing the rest of my days.
One day at at time (once my favorite show) has new meaning. NOPE....

WHATCHOOTALKINBOUTWILLIS?
But seriously, You have found your freedom cole, much sooner than most!
Youve nailed it

That was diffent strokes PuffNoMore..... but applies all the same...Every quit is different!

We may banter and tease each other, but know that you have our respect and support .... any time you need it. I have a feeling though, that you have this on your own. Congrats!!!!!!!

I love hearing the positive reinforcement not only here, but on other posts.
That is what inspires others. Your determination is not at loss either. All the Best.... You CAN do this!

Why Quit is a great sight with information and insight. Altough they are a cold turkey quit site, i could not join because i used lung cleanse merely hoping to help my health ,not quit smoking..
It did work (my thoughts and belief)_if you care to read my first story eons ago..... and i had it easy. Sometimes i feel quilty , but it really does come down to believing in ourself, which i didn't until i joined a quit quit group

We are here for you. We believe in you. You need to just believe in yourself!

My posts or answers are not for you in this case Cole,. I can almost tell by the attitude by comment alone whether someone has what it takes to succeed, and you do. I comment only to hope others will truly WANT to succeed for themselves. The WANT is imperative. Willpower alone will not succeed. it is knowledge and an understanding of the addiction. You can overcome it if you want to.
Freedom is here for all that truly want it. Stop clinging to the past. Embrace freedom from nicotine. Untll you tell the nicotine monster PuffnoMore ( I lov you) you are no longer its victim you will be..

Ok. so PuffNo More is a Pet Project. Do you think really, that you don't grow bonds, understanding, a camaraderie with fellow quittees. I am sincerelyl You mean a lot to mean for whatever reasons PuffNoMore . I believe in you. I just widh you would believe in yourself! You have not shown yourself to be a quitter. Quit so i can stop and spare others from all my daily postings. I have accepted retiring, You accept being a non smoker, and then we can part ways
Until then i am ridin your butts.....

Hahaha took me forever to read all these positive comments thanks everyone for the nice words and support I know I can do this that’s why I am succeeding no will power involved it’s about understanding the addiction and what the nicotine trap does I think only then can u really stop I cannot recommend the app quiet smoking in 2 hrs it helped me so much with champix also I’m so grateful that I found relief from the daily trap of smoking I am happy and free it’s been so easy.

Your lucky that you found it so easy, and i'm glad. Its great to hear success so early on

Hi Cole,
Its great that you are avoiding the daily trap of smoking. Giving them up has always been about choosing not to smoke.
I remember 12 years ago when I gave up the habit using Champix.(2 year period). Is that I didnt notice any increased need to smoke when I ceased the medication. So, I think if you stay off the smokes for the period of time it takes to finish the coarse of champix, you would be fine, regardless of whether you go the full term on the drug or not.
But, yes, We constantly make the decision to stay quit no matter what method is used. They are all just aids in giving up. Its 100% up to our decision to not smoke that matters most.
Its about choice. They'll be times or situations that can make us think we want a Puff, But its ultimately up to us to make the right CHOICE!

Hi cole35, I am so glad to hear how well you are going. I wanted to ask what day in did you finally quit with champix, from you post it read 3 weeks. I am nearly at the 3 week mark with my quit date 1/3/2019. I was worried it was not working, first week was good, 2nd week almost back to normal, this week though I am not smoking anywhere near as much and not enjoying it, just hope I haven’t missed the boat by leaving my quit day 3 weeks in

Hi Broncor I’m still on the champix, I was kinda like what you said you are up and down with it the first few weeks it was almost to the end of week 3 when I decided nope that’s it cause I kept changing my quit date, you stop when your ready to stop don’t force it you need to be mentally prepared for it I found d a really good app called quit smoking in 2 hrs with Jason vale’s it’s basically what got me over the line and made me stop I highly recommend you give it ago I’m now day 10 smoke free and don’t feel the need to have a smoke I do sometimes think I’d like one but I don’t act on it. Good luck if I can do you, you can too it’s really not as hard as you think it will be.
