Others have had slips, and i am not invulnerable. I do know this, especially since i had such an easy quit in comparison to others. We all deserve our just reward for believing and trying. We tried whether we succeed long term or not. I choose to believe i will. I am here everyday to see how easy i had it, and to encourage others, and hope that others can find their way with guidance. It is my way of paying forward. I am so grateful. I really am.

I wish PuffNoMore would answer. I feel i have failed in some ways with him , as i tried so hard for him to understand the mindset. I do believe he tried his hardest. I am at a loss as to what i could have done differently with him. He seemed to want so desperately to grasp and understand the theory of mindset. I have not heard from him for some time and hope it is not somethng i said. I feel for all of you, i identify with your desires and yes even your pain. I too was once scared to death with the fear of every quitting smoking. If i had a wish here, it would be that puffnomore would please come back.

Hi Hap,

Happy smoke free year to all of the Quitters and to the ones that are planning their quits. I am a flamin' smoker again and unable to stop right now.

I was certain to re-start my quit again this morning but the yes no chatter in my head was too annoying and after tennis I went to the super market to get a few things and bought a packet of 30 cancer sticks.

Thats $34.95 in Australia for 30 cigarettes!!

Right now I haven't decided when or how I will quit. All I know is that When I decide it has to be a total ban! That is not one packet! Not one cig! It means not one Puff!! Because my habit restarted from just one PUFF a week ago. And after more than 50 days Smoke Free I am back where I started. With all the problems that a smoker carries around. Its a heavy load to carry

Eventually I will be a HAPPY NON-SMOKER, just no totally committed to it right now

I am glad to see you back and still on the support team. I am sorry you saw me in a conflict with a newcomer. I have posted for them on New Years Eve. in hopes that half hearted vows might find real incentives and a realization that they could actually be free. I did what i could.

I am sorry you will have to start over , but you have gained insight, practice of the 4 D's and i believe you have a real desire to quit. That is the most important thing PuffNoMore. If you want you will succeed. Take the time to reflect, learn some more, perhaps try another method. You know that I have never really seen the sense in defeating the nicotine monster by using nicotine. I could not find the strength in me, but could not find in in my heart to discourage you in your choice of quit.

My friend quit on Champix the second time around. It blocks the nicotine sensors, and he had no trouble coming off of it with no withdrawal. Only his wife knew about his quit. He felt he came off it too early the first time so did 2 prescriptions the second time . Ask your doctor if that is possible for you.

Can't tell you how glad you are back, and not in hiding. I take that as hope that you are still committted to quitting albeit you own time. That is ok. Your lungs have recovered some. Keep doing other good things for yourself and your body until you can find the resolve to try again. I know you like that word. Resolve. Robn is so good with words. xoxo

Hi PuffNoMore,

Sorry about your slip up and like you I have slipped up many times before. Take this setback as a learning experience and don't be too hard on yourself, when you are ready again and totally committed their are many people who want to support you.

You can do this, others on this site have succeeded in finally breaking the addiction and so can you.

I hope all is well with you PuffNoMore. Missing you on here, and i need your feedback on a question i posed to you. Hoping for a response soon. Take care of yourself and keep happy positive thoughts!
