600 days smoke free and counting

Hooray 600 days smoke and nicotine free today. For those who are just starting out on your quit journey - hang in there it gets easier and easier. The other day I was talking to someone who kept smoking cigs one after another while telling me that he wished he could quit and yet finding excuses why he hasn’t quit. That was after he learned that I am an ex-nicotine addict. The best thing now is that after 600 days smoke free it seems like smoking and being addicted was something that happened a long time ago to someone else but I realize that a full blown addiction is just one puff away. Thanks everyone for posting your stories and experience because they validate my quit. All the best and stay nicotine free.

HOORAY is right, congratulations Safe2017 well done on your success. You have every right to feel proud 😊

Congrats Safe
You are an inspiration to others who are just starting our journeys. You also give the most sound advice. N>O>P>E. (Not One Puff Ever!) Some successful quits think they are safe and make that fatal mistake. Nicotine is a powerful, mind altering drug (which is why we stayed addicted) and just that one puff can get us addicted again. Smoking is not a habit, it is a full blown addiction. Makes me a lot more sympathetic to wards Drug Addicts. We have to forgive ourselves for our weakness and for being duped , understand where we have come from and where we hope to go. Embrace being a non-smoker, Living as a non-smoker, and you will Become a Happy-Non Smoker.
Thanks again for speaking so right on Safe. Again Congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment. You should be so proud of yourself
