Getting it done

Posted in Reasons to quit
schedule 30 Jun 2024

I’m 61 years old. Ive smoked since I was 14.

I am terrified about giving up. I doubt my ability to stay focussed.

But I want to live a lot longer and I have 11 grandkids I need to live for.

I’m very active in the gym and I’m trying to make my nutrition and health a priority.

I don’t have any outward issues but I do have COPD which will only get worse if I don’t do something now.

I need all the help and encouragement I can get.

I’m determined to beat this and live a long long life.

Thanks for listening everyone

Karen

Hi Karen. I hope you will read the success stories and find the confidence in yourself to do this. It really is so worthwhile, and the benefits are even more abundant than imagined. We all started out like you and yet we can find the desire and the mindset to overcome the need for nicotine. Be more afraid of not quitting, no one has ever regretted quitting smoking.

Think positive!

Hi Karen, Im around your age & have been smoking since I was 15. I gave up almost 5 months ago! (5 mths on the 12/07/24). If I can do it, so can you.. Yes in the beginning its a little tricky, but as the days, weeks, months go by, you be amazed at how easy it becomes & how every week your heath improves!
