Its the way to go.

Yea thanks puffnomore onwards and upwards from here
I'm in the process of the Allen Carr easy way to stop smoking book.
He says nothing but the truth

You'll make it Gemma. See the truth Allen speaks of in the book. Obtain that mindset and you will cease to feel like you are giving up anything. You will actually be choosing to quit smoking. Last time was for surgery....not an ideal time for a permanent quit. Still you did very well and got done what you needed to do. When we WANT something we do it or make excuses. I hope your friend is more supportive of your quit these days. Remember that you come first If she is a friend, she will be in your corner.

Happiness thanks yes I didndo ok for the last quit.
This 1 is for good.
My friend well like I say it's my choice if I go see her but she won't quit she will still smoke. But she does give me great encourgement to keep going.

No one expects someone else to quit just because you did. We know that just won't work anyways, because they have to WANT to.
My hubby had suggested quitting one day, over the years, but when I decided to quit, I hoped he would join me, yes, but I was not going to force him too or change my mind when I had made my decision. I didn't know how serious he took the idea. . I just wanted him to support me in my quit.
Hubby was very supportive and encouraging throughout my recovery from my stroke. Now that I have found exercise and shaping up, he has the motivation to do the same. We see, we do.
That's not to say that your friend will quit smoking nor should anyone expect her to. I am glad she is a friend and supporting your decision. It is up to YOU to remember that you made the decision, a CHOICE. Don't lose sight of the reasons why you made that decision and what more that you have learned since coming here to further increase your desire for freedom.

Happiness yes indeed we can't make someone stop smoking if they don't want to.
I just stopped enjoying it the taste and smell started to really get to me and now when I sit with her it does smell awful.
It's good of your hubby to be supportive that'd what we need is a good back bone to help us through the tough times.
My partner also very supportive of me this time last year when I wasn't well and was not smoking he was very proud and we willl get there again. And he still is supportive now but I'm doing this for me not for anyone eles.
Do you ever think about smoking now?
Have.you changed much habits.
I have started up walking again at least 3k a day to start with and I feel great afterwards

Hi Gemma, Long walks were integral in my early days and I still make sure I allocate enough time in everyday for them. I passed 450 days smoke free Yippee!
