555 days smoke free. I still pinch myself today that I actually did it. I have saved $10,000!!!! We have just retired so glad I gave up before retiring. It would have been so difficult and unaffordable for us. My husband gave up about a week after me. So that made it a bit easier. You know when the time is right. It was for me. I smoked for around 40 years! 20 or so a day. I was having a bit of trouble breathing. Diagnosed with mild emphysema. I struggle carrying groceries up a flight of stairs but find with regular exercise it does improve slightly. Don't wait until you get short of breath! Give up now! It is so so worth it!!

Our stories are so similar Puffer. I too decided to retire without the added expense. Hubby also quit. Life is great without the nicomonster dictating . I have many more things in life that i can enjoy with the money.

Don't get caught short of cash and breath. Make the choice to be a non-smoker!

Great news Puffer, it certainly helps if someone else is trying the same as you but the accolades still belong to you. I hope I can reach this milestone too. thanks for posting.
