Starting to try quiting again

Hi all,
This is really about quitting again for me. I have been smoking on & off for 50 years. I did quit for a 5 year period but went right back during a stressful period in my life. I was able to do it with chantix along with a page like this with other smokers who are trying or had already quit. My quit date is set 1/1/2024. I am starting early to wrap my head around quitting for good as well as get some chantix started before time. I look forward to seeing all your stories & successes as well as try to help anyone else in any way I can. Thanks
Luray

Luray your thought and strategies for this journey will be appreciated as well as your support and positivity. You already know how important that the Mindset is and now is an excellent time to remember that smoking never did anything thing for you and it certainty never did anything to reduce stress. We used any and all excuses to reach for our mental crutch. Take the time to really taste and think about the smoking while secluded and uncomfortable. Stop taking pleasure in the act. Realize that is only the relief of cravings that we reach for a fix. We are addicts, so remember NOPE.

Chantix helps to take the enjoyment out of smoking, but you need to love being anon-smoker to make it permanent.
There is nothing to lose by quitting smoking and everything to gain. Rejoice in the freedom and enjoy all the benefits to come.

I used a all natural drink that took away my physical desire to smoke and I didn't have any withdrawals.
