1 week off cigarettes

9 days with no cigarettes. I have beed smoking for 40 years and this is my 3rd attempt. Tried medications, patches and other things to no avail. 9 days ago I just decided to stop. Few cravings only and now they are getting less and less. What helped me during the first week was going to bed early, very early as I used to smoke a lot in the evening.

Congratulations 🎉 that’s awesome. I’m on day 4 and feeling okay. It helps me to stay strong and focused when I think about other people going through this as well. Keep sharing the milestones!

About twice a day I have mild craving for a cigarette. For few seconds I think about a cigarette then I remember and really it feels good to be able to resist it. I can't really say it is resistance or will power cause there is really not much craving, and it lasts for few seconds. I am drinking lots of water though, all the time.

That's it . Good food and water. Plenty of work and excercise.
. Top it off with a good sleep and get another day free.
Every day you go without the poison, the easier it gets.
Beware of situations where you used to be tempted and be certain that you had your last puff.
Congratulations and welcome to the club with no smoke

Quitting really can be as easy as just making up our minds. Yes, there will be a craving, but a craving is just a thought. It's a reminder that the nicomonster wants fed, and that we have the power to deny him that and reclaim our freedom from his demands.
This attempt is likely different because you WANT to quit. There are certainly reasons to quit and absolutely none to continue unless you own a tobacco industry. Even then I bet they don't smoke!
I am sure that they want to live long and extravagantly on our addiction to nicotine. Add more tar and poisons while you're at it.
I am certainly very happy to be free after 40 plus years. I for one am NOT looking back!

Congratulations ghassan, it was over 40 years for me too, so you can do it.
