Day 5 here yesterday I felt like death today I’ve woken up with a different attitude and feel like I will enjoy the ride now 😊 feeling excited!

I am on champix though so I’m nervous about when I eventually stop those ..

Welcome MandyM. Congratulations for 5 days on Champix, this is a start and yes I was on Champix too, and it is understandable feel slightly nervous about stopping the Champix, it was actually no problem for me once I had set the day to stop, so it really means you have a date to stop smoking completely and then a date to stop the Champix, although we are given instructions you have a choice with this, and it is only guidelines.

I chose to forget my evening dose because of nightmarish dreams, and I then chose when to stop completely without checking the guidelines. It is up to you. Some others have chosen to take their evening dose early on with food.

I am so glad you are feeling excited, you will be increasing your own happiness and self worth as you go along, just remember NOPE (not one puff ever) to repeat daily, along the way it does work. Come back again anytime.

Use the champix to give yourself time to become nicotine free first and then time while you adjust psychologically to becoming a non-smoker. Once you accept and love your life as a non-smoker, there should be no problem stepping off the Champix. I once had a member prove to my satisfaction that you could even step off of nicotine (nrt) without any withdrawal symptoms. I had quit smoking cold turkey with no major cravings after the first 72 hours while most of the nicotine left my system. For me, the whole process was easier than I could have imagined. Our minds will feed on our fears. I wanted to quit smoking once seeing others were doing it successfully. I believed i could too and so I did!

You can quit smoking and it does not have to be difficult.

Good on yoo

Its not rocket science to end the cycle of buying packets of smokes almost everyday.

It can be a little uncomfortable NOT having a smoke after breakfast, dinner, tea and one more before bed!

Unfortunately or fortunately, that is how we have KILLED any addiction!
