Three weeks down

I am three weeks today! Very exciting, in the past I have always struggled at this time, and always forgotten about the reasons I want to not smoke, it’s like all the short term benefits have been achieved and so I can’t see a point to keep going. This time it is different, I feel different, I just keep dreaming of that lovely smoke free woman that I want to look and be, and smell like in a years time. She is the only focus I have. That and the want to live for my kids, I feel our relationship has changed already if not for taking the time away from them to come back smelling.
I still struggle with the damage I feel I have done to my body already, but I try very hard not to let that consume me, and to concentrate on the positives.
I live by all of your stories and find this website so fabulously useful, thank you everyone who shares, adds, etc.
Onwards and upwards for all of us!

We can't change the past, only the future. Make it the best it can be .
Together we are stronger and can keep each other on the right path. Check in often and help others through this process. We need to change the belief that quitting is hard. It can be easy with the right mindset.

Thanks pUff no More and Happiness. Yes it is easy with the right frame of mind. Thanks for your support :)

Well done Bej, I hope you have taken the children on a good outing to share your reward. Being out and about in the fresh air when we can is also a good way forward for our health and happiness.

Congrats on 3 weeks. That’s huge

I find taking baby steps and then celebrating those tiny victories make this journey a lot more interesting
