Staying quit

Hi all,I know I don’t post very often but I thought I’d give an update on how my smoke free life is going,I’ve been quit cold turkey now for 5 months, well into my sixth,it’s been quite a smooth ride really along the way,at about the three months mark I felt a bit low in myself but that soon passed,it’s been the most rewarding personal journey I’ve ever taken, life is so much better as a non smoker, smell, taste, breathing, skin, teeth, all improved vastly, even the lines around my eyes have all but vanished,I’m running 5k three times a week, but not this week because I’ve tweaked my ankle lol,but to all of you guys that are battling the early stages, just keep going,it’s undiscribable how it changes your life, and it does change it for the better,in every single possible way,I’m so glad I found this forum,it’s been life changing for me,even tho I don’t post much,I always read ,it keeps me grounded,so come on everybody, celebrate your lives as non smokers, you’ve got a lot to celebrate,I must say, that when I quit I was sick to death of smoking, but it’s not until you’ve been stopped a while you realise that it changes your life in more ways than you ever imagined, what a life changer,I’m so happy and loving life,so remember guys....NOPE.......NOPE,,,,,,,,NOPE.........NOPE..... NOT ONE PUFF EVER......truly a life saving, and a life changing quote!!

Great post Steve, just like your friend I am sure you have inspired many others to quit and yes your life just keeps changing for the better, we become much more tolerant when we understand ourselves and others along the way. NOPE has been my daily mantra for 2 years now. Come back anytime and I hope you are keeping safe in the UK.

Nice story, it's worth to follows.. keep have a positive attitude, and share it with us from time to time.. :)

Thankyou softly,it is truly unbelievable how your life does change when we stop smoking,in ways and areas in it that we don’t even think about when we first stop, when I first joined our amazing forum,I read about smoking being a cause of irritable behaviour, impatience,a short fuse etc,I never mentally delved deep into what I’d read at the time, because I guess my only narrow focus in my mind was to stop smoking for the good of my health, and the health of others,as I said in my main post,it’s not until further down the road we become more aware of it,I’m so much more relaxed and calm now,and my ability to keep cool when under pressure solving problems has improved off the scale, and putting the whole stopping smoking experience into perspective, the hard times we can have when stopping with our various emotions along the way, pale into significance further down the line when your feeling fantastic, more healthy and in control of your life than you ever have before or ever thought imaginable,

Thankyou Matik
Positivity rules my friend lol, I read more than I post as I haven’t been stopped long so I don’t feel I’ve earned my stripes and have long term experience to start dishing out advice, but I have been stopped long enough to share with people, the amazing feeling that it gives you when you win your battle, how great it makes you feel, truly amazing.
Have a fantastic day my friend

I always enjoy reading your post's Steve. Always uplifting and motivating.
Thank you and congratulations into moving on after a stupid pastime we thought we needed?
To others out there, find a way out of the smokey haze and start living life without the addiction.
Life is better without the pannick and worry of finding the money to buy the packet's

I love your testimony and you are most definitely qualified to give advice. You yourself know the battle is won. Some seem to think it is a life long battle. Yes , it is an addiction so we dare not even think about a puff, but we are also enlightened by the truths of smoking. We know the mindset to keep us far safer than willpower ever could. We are grateful and experience great things now that we are non-smokers. We struggled some to be free and we will never go back to that enslavement.
Great hearing from you, and everyone has the experience to share no matter at what point in their quit. We help each other here by support and understanding. We have all been in the same boat.

Thankyou for your kind words puff no more,I believe that we can either be happy quitters or be one foot in the past and dwell on the negative quitters,I choose to be positive and embrace the life changing decision to quit and in return reep the positives it brings in abundance, have a great smoke free day mate
