You are not alone. Quitting is the best thing you can do to lower your risk. I stopped watching the news as it impacts my moods too. You can do it and it does get easier

I too have stopped watching the news it causing too much anxiety and worry.

Try avoid the ruminating worry. Make a resolution that we cant change the world and that we can switch off some worry just by distracting ourselves with other stuff

I stopped watching the news years ago.... so depressing. Your home is your sanctuary. Follow the guidelines and you have nothing to worry about. Hopefully those you care about do the same. There is an end in sight. Keep positive and you will wonder why you worried so much about both situations.

I stopped watching news and prefer on watching funny videos on youtube. I had worse experience about tightness in my chest for the 37th day. Mindfulness meditation really helps a lot. I do it whenever I feel discomfort in my chest and before sleeping. Make sure you have proper posture when you sit, and when sleeping.
