Waist enhancement

Hi all. Ok so am feeling good about no smoking for 52 days. I’m not becoming obsessed with the days, just find it interesting. Have decided to accept the ‘waist/hips enhancements” for the moment. Must admit its a bit strange - however, its certainly better than putting a poison stick in my mouth! It’s great to look back on what I have written so far on this forum. I remember being so scared about taking the jump to freedom - I am so happy I did and am grateful for others wise and positive replies and posts. Keep strong

"weight and waist gains have been a feature of my Quit and lately my curve is definitely flattening out now. I will admit that I did use all-sorts of food to gobble up any yearning off some habit I promised to terminate.
I am glad to say that my insatiable desire for food to replace my "pre-historic smoking habit/ addiction is going down in calories and fast/ rubbish food almost not wanted now.
I have so, so many good,good,good good vibrations! from Quitting.
Always staying strong and getting better week by week,
Because;
We don't smoke

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear will cause worry and self doubt rather than believing in ourselves.We had been brainwashed that quitting was hard. It was not nearly as hard as some feared. In fact in can be as easy as you make it. Believe. You will win! You're doing great Zen Calm. Wonderful post and you will master that waist line too.

la,la,la,la la.
la. la,laa
good vibrations.
i am sure that we are all different. And i did gobble any food i could get my mouth around for months. but i have recently turned the corner and no longer need to scoff down food to cover up any habit to any smoking addiction i had.

Hi Zen Calm. So glad you overcame the fear of quitting. After you decide you have had enough of growing your waist line you realise if you can stop smoking then surely you can stop ingesting calorie laden mouthfuls of food. Good at the time but not so hard to turn around when you are ready. Just use the same will power. After you succeed, and you will, reward your self with something you really desire. Indulge ! Besides, you will be able to afford it.

Yes Zen, The money spent was a total waste. Give yourself another 75 days grace to tighten down the waist. I agree with you that any food is 1 million times better than a cancer stick.
We DONT SMOKE

Hi Happiness. Love your positive post. We sure were brainwashed that quitting was hard. I agree its only as hard as you make it. How bizarre to be carrying on about an ‘enhanced’ waistline when I am grateful that food tastes much better now!

Hi Lia, In reality if all I have to be concerned about is an expanding waist line - I’m lucky. It’s all another experience in my journey. I like your comments.
