Day 2 - struggling with the mind monster saying have one!

I am day 2.... struggling today but keeping busy, logged into the forum for inspiration. My mind is trying to convince me that now is a bad time to stop due to covid 19 but I know it’s not true! Not working, home schooling, minimal distractions without work but I’m not going back for another 5 weeks and I don’t want to smoke for another 5 weeks. Please offer any advice for a day 2 quitter.

Hi Istaysee. Red gave you excellent advice in gaining the mindset. The others also give great advice and insight and support. Those voices in your head bicker and make the situation worse. Make up your mind that smoking is a thing of the past that did nothing but waste your time and worse. You have beaten it short term before, Render the voices silent and take control by believing what you really want. You can quit smoking if you want to. And you can be free forever.

Hi there, those voices can be very powerful, persistent and tell you all sorts of excuses to smoke again. Chewing gum helped me when I was in the same position. Stay strong
