So I first posted a few days ago after quitting cold turkey just over two weeks ago. I was having the worst physical withdrawal symptoms so much so I swore I had corona virus. The only thing that kept me sane through these times was that my symptoms cakes and went and I had no shortness of breath or temp. I’m now on day 19 and I have to say all of my symptoms seem to be settling well. Hi have not had any cravings at all, not one and home it stays like that. My skin feels better and my teeth whiter and today was the first day I woke up feeling like I had not swallowed a razor. I still get the odd bout of a cough to clear mucous but it is defo not persistent and my chest does not feel congested. I literally spent the last two weeks wanting just to spend all my time In bed but I now feel ready to get back to exercise again and doing the things I love. My energy levels are also returning although my sleep pattern is still disturbed. Hoping this will improve over the next week although my sleep is also massively affected by anxiety. All in all I don’t think about smoking, (I hope this continues) I just hope my physical symptoms continue to improve as I had at one point myself written off and wondered what the heck have I done to myself. X

So glad you are feeling better and wanting to get active again. Things do get better. For some there is just that period of adjustment. You are doing great!

Its nice to hear your going alot better now Janey-B.

Its highly probable you have gotten over the worst of your withdrawal period?

I had waves of some of the symptoms you suffered with, and, I found that after 2 to 3 weeks it got a h*ll of alot easier after that.

Now on day 3 of 4th week without a poison stick. I’m now on 2nd step of patches. I take them off at night which helps me to sleep better. Have joint and back pain. Anyone else had weird experiences whilst on patches ?. I am wondering if I’m better off without them. Apart from that I do feel better and don’t think about smoking. Any suggestions would be great.
