Another anniversary

Oh my gosh. I have not had internet for what seems like forever. It's been 2 or 3 months since I last checked in. I hope this finds all of my friends on here doing well-and not smoking.
Today is the 1 year anniversary of my surgery and quitting smoking. My health is amazing and I love being a non-smoker!
Yesterday my husband took me out and got me a new tattoo for my anniversary.
He has had a Popeye tattoo since before he got out of the Navy. Now I have an Olive Oyl tattoo. I'm counting on the fact that Popeye and Olive Oyl cartoons made it to Australia.
Anyway, I will check back as often as I can. Thanks for listening. I'm anxious to see if any of my old pals are still here.

You betcha girl.
Great to hear from you and know you are well and loving life as a non-smoker. Do I remember Popeye and Olive Oyl and Brutus from a child on Rocket Ship7. Although it was a Buffalo station we got in in Ontario, Canada. Brings back a lot of memories. Good for you for making the pairing complete with tattoo.
So proud of you for making the best of a bad situation and coming through with flying colours! That you tell us your health is amazing , that too is a relief to hear.
I am almost 400 days free, my hubby two weeks behind and my daughter 9 months. Isn't it great to see how our goals and accomplishments inspire others to follow suit. Don't forget to stay in touch when you can as to reinforce your quit and stay free. Life as a non-smoker is too precious to take chances.
I am sure the others will post to say hello and wish you well. Great hearing from you. Stay safe and happy.

Hi Beth, Its PuffNoMore here, I'm still battling away with a day here and there without smokes. I just havent put it all together yet, but I'm so pleased you have. Yeah come out to Australia, we would love to see you! Its not pretty as the east coast is covered by smoke from the bushfires. (firestorms)

Hi to both of you. I would love to visit Australia. It's always been a dream of mine. Maybe we will start saving for that next.
I have discovered that the smell of cigs literally makes me sick to my stomach. I get a headache and I get nauseous. It helps a lot.
For now, I am just enjoying my new tattoo.

Pisces24-I am truly sorry that my presence here bothers you. I found this site last year when I got out of the hospital. I didn't realize it was a mainly Australian group until after I was signed up. That being said, I have found an amazing group of people here who have been an awesome support group. I would think that, considering we are all in the same boat, it wouldn't matter where I am from. Have a beautiful day.

And to everyone else, thank you so much for your continued support. It means a lot. Believe me! 🌹❤️❤️

Beth I am sure you misunderstood Pisces. She meant the vapers from the UK. Not you or me. Don't forget I am from Canada. I am sure we are welcome and even the vapers if they are here to really offer some useful advice.
I know how you must feel if you felt you were attacked. I took the brunt of it, but hey i was strong enough to quit smoking and nicotine. I'm tough.
All the best girl. Have a wonderful day!
