Build a Strong Support System

18 days Smoke-free: There will always be temptations, but they are just that, temptations. I just don't pay attention to them anymore. Every time I have a temptation, I remember the reason I quit smoking, and they just walk away.
But, I believe it is important to build a strong support system. My wife has been incredibly supportive of my decision, and I sometimes believe my quitting has made her even more happier than me, and that thought makes me even more happy. Winners all around, right?
I have some smoker friends, and they too have been incredibly supportive of me. After work, we usually hang out, and used to light a couple cigarettes. But now, we have changed our hangout spot to a place where smoking is not allowed. And other times, they have gone out of their way not to smoke when I am present. and I think it has helped them as well.
Having this incredible support system in my journey makes thing a lot easier for me, and encourages me even more not to go back to being miserable again. I am having a blast being a Non-Smoker for the first time in my adult life.
Thank you all and enjoy being a happy Non-Smoker! CHEERS!

You've got a strong handle on this and I am thrilled that you are so happy and pleased with the results. Your wife much be very proud, and you should be proud of yourself too. It is wonderful to see the younger ones like yourself joining the ranks of non-smokers, rather than turning a blind eye. Life is so much better without the smokes. Congratulation, and keep up the great example to your friends.

Well done Socrates, I agree with you about the friendship and also the support among your friends. It seems as though those close to you have your best interests at heart, and that is so good to have in your life. Keep going onto day 19 soon.
You might like to look up Plato when you have a minute these Philosophers really shape your view to some extent, although our world today is so different in our experiences, they bring about a lot of wisdom.
Congratulations for 18 days
