It's been about 6 wks since I quit smoking and I feel pretty good. Haven't had many urges lately but know that they will happen from time to time. I find that exercise helps. This time I want to get it.

I think that this time you HAVE GOT IT Nathan! Keep reading and retraining your mind to not want a cigarette. Just simply make it no longer an option. You have made your choice and you ARE a non-smoker. You don't have to wait a year to know that, you know it in your heart and mind.

Having an odd thought about a cigarette is not necessarily a craving, but a reaction. My husband gets them from time to time. Reach for a smoke while preoccupied. Smoke from a lit mosquito coil kept him reaching for the ashtray which of course wasn't there! We just laugh. We have made our choice and there is no other option. Plain and simple!

You can do this Nathan. Anyone can quit smoking if they truly have the mind to.
