Day 10

Pretty happy to have reached double figures today.

Feels like its taken me ages to get here however. Is it possible to say it feels like its taken me 20 days to reach 10? Things are going well, but probably had more urges these last couple of days than I had in the first week. Theyre easily dismissed after a few seconds and usually come around old habit times as expected, but the frequency of them seems to have increased. Reading other peoples stories in here really does help, especially in regards to reminders of the health issues if Id kept smoking.

Im almost out of my first course of Zyban, and will see the Doctor tomorrow for the next prescription. It only has 15 days(at 2 tabletts a day) worth in a pack. Is this right? I remember them having almost a full month in them last time, but this would have been early 2000s.

Starting to think of myself as a non smoker rather than someone trying to give up.

Cant wait till I hit triple figures! 😁

Yes, the triple digits club, we will welcome you with open arms, come join us, it’s a great club... not sure on zyban, I used champix, if seeing gp ask them, I am just over 100 days, but, yes, feels like 6 months, maybe we spent so much time wasting time smoking... but I am walking, and breathing easy, it is a life adjustment but the most worthy one we can do, keep up the great work...

Keep reminding yourself that you are a non smoker, not a quitter! You are not giving up anything, for it gave you nothing. You are choosing a better life style and making the transition over the course of time. Life any new trade or skill, we learn and perfect it over time. Soon it will become as natural as breathing easier.

So many benefits to gain, nothing to lose! What a deal!

You have done really well PV time is so precious and now you can enjoy those precious moments rather than wasting them on lighting up.
