only 8 days for me but what a difference in breathing already, a bit hard changing routines ingrained over close on 50 yrs but I wish I'd made the effort much sooner

got a shock when put on a portable lung capacity tester, got a script for patches ($6 against $53 retail) which seem to take the edge off (or so I've convinced myself), took a tip from an Alan Carr book & kept to pretty much the same routine (beer, socialising etc), within 1 day the smell of the smoking area at the club was offensive and cig smoke was making me cough

Sounds like you have got it beat!

Enjoy your time having a drink at the club or at home,,,,,but beware,,,,too much alcohol has let my guard down in the past,,,,even after 2 months

I agree Puff, that's been my downfall in the past, one thing I've found is no matter what I'm doing, when I get the "taste" for a smoke a piece of chewing gum (Extra brand) takes the taste away, may only have it for a few minutes but, anything to help. Biggest thing right now is the brain saying "go on, have a smoke & see what it tastes like", another trap I've fallen into before as I know there is no such thing as "1 cigarette"
