Monsters

Just was sitting on the couch and went to grab my smokes cause that’s normally where they would be but hey not there left me with one of those omg I need a smoke feelings so I felt a bit of anxiety kicking in decided to stop take a few deep breaths told myself if u want a cigarette have a cigarette and shut up 🤐 but then thought hey no I don’t negotiate with the nicotine terrorist and within a few minutes of mental ping pong I was over it and didn’t want one anymore. 😊

Way to go cole.
If you dont feed the monster it will starve and leave you alone.

You are right Cole. There is no negotiation. You are a non-smoker and non-smokers simply don't smoke!

Thanks guys for the support I am managing the feelings better than I thought I would. I know it’s the habit speaking cause my body isn’t craving them just my head I’m sure I will reach for a few more before my head catches up and changes the way it thinks.

You might get a bit of mental ping pong every now and then, just brush it off and think of all the poisonous chemicals you were inhaling.
And enjoy the extra money $$$$.
The greater distance you put between now and your last cigarette is breaking the habit so that you wont miss that filthy behaviour.
I found alot of mental ping pong in my Quit, but it sounds like you have it under control. Keep it there. I think we all agree that this Quitting business is MIND OVER MATTER.

The craving for the next cigarette was caused by the last cigarette. When we truly Dont Want to smoke, We can make it easy to not smoke and make the distance longer from your last one.. Everyday that you dont smoke is making it easier to resist it.
Its the new found time that we have on our hands that sometimes we dont know what to do with. Well, over time you will find new ways of filling it.
For now its Dont Smoke and dont negotiate with that interrogating nicotine monster. That monster has ways of convincing you to feed it. So keep telling it to shut up and dont feed it. your doing great , but champix cant do the Quit for you, Its your effort that is required. Although, I feel you have beaten the monster already.

Hi yes doing good I still think about them and think of having one but I don’t just got to get through the readjustment period. But I feel really good.
