A slip up

I've just begun week 3 of Champix. Can't say it's been easy because I'm having side effects.

But, side effects or not I still have the determination to persist and think the side effects are worth putting up with than horrible smoking. The inconvenience of 3 months is little to bear in comparison to the effects of smoking.

Confessions of a life time smoker - I slipped up earlier this week. :(

I kidded myself thinking I could control the cravings. I found my will power was not strong enough. Having bought a packet, smoked 3, that pack went into the bin this morning. Was it worth it? A resounding NO! Now, I have to start my journey all over again.

Take 2 - I know I can give up the smokes sooner rather than later!

Happened once or twice to all of us. Just stay the course, don’t blame yourself too much and stay away from cancer sticks. The more time passes the easier it gets but the trick is not to have even one puff because one puff leads to one cig and on and on and before you know it you are right where you started. Good luck and all the best.

Hi Focus

Don't be too hard on yourself. Millions of smokers out there are still in denial and afraid to even attempt a serious quit. Kudos to all that make the effort. If you want it badly enough you will achieve it. You have the tools so build the future you want for yourself and don't let the ghost of the past haunt you. If you ever feel cornered again, whoyagonna call...... Ghostbusters.

I also had a slip but the very next day got back on track. I have been smoking for 40yrs!! I also finding this very hard emotionally on day 55 but no reason to start all over just pick up again and all be good. Thought after a month would be better but will take much longer we just have to be strong and if we screw up will be ok just get back on asap
