Made it through the first week! Today is the second day totally nicotine free. Seems like I've had some mild withdrawal symptoms, but everything has been quite manageable so far. Nibbling sunflower seeds makes it easy to keep my mouth busy. Dill pickle flavored seeds are delicious! Lollipops help tremendously while in my car.
Considering that I truly no longer want cigarettes, I wouldn't say I've had cravings, but there have been some subconscious urges. I will finish a task at work and almost every part of me is ready and assuming that I will go outside and smoke until my rational mind says "NOPE!" I catch myself cracking the window almost every time I get in the car.
Last night I was hanging out with a neighbor who is a smoker. I borrowed an unlit cig from him and smelled it and dragged it. They are much more pleasant to the senses when they aren't burning.
On to week 2! Stay strong!
