150 NOT OUT

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 1 Jun 2018

Wow 150 days smoke free today.Yep Jan 1 this year cold turkey. It doesn't bother me now,but it hasn't been a completely easy journey. From day 1 I never hid from trigger points and early on did find resisting the temptation of certain trigger points difficult but did not give in.I believe this strengthened my resolve and as each day passed I would be very proud of myself not having one because of a social event or a beer or wine or coffee on our balcony or stress days etc.I do credit also this site and the inspiring courageous stories that have been shared by Day 1ers or long term quitters.I acknowledge you all.My wife has also been a pillar of strength in her support, but mostly my determination and my utter focus on giving up the bloody things.I reckon my journey isn't done but No Matter What! I will not put one in my mouth.

Well done Colloquial. Keep it up and don’t let that little nicodemon inside your head to tempt you with only one puff.
