Sick of myself!

You are still trying and that’s an achievement in itself. You’ll quit for good when your mindset is mentally ready.

You have to want to Jelly,YOU,Dont do it for anyone else.If your'e not ready to give up your'e not ready, but get yourself ready.Pick a date, think about that date, write down that date and put it where you see it constantly.Work toward the date and when it arrives NO MATTER WHAT! do not put one in your mouth. As Red says cold turkey is a couple of weeks of beating the cravings when they are at their most constant, but they do subside and eventually disappear. If you need motivation and inspiration come to this site regularly. You got this Jelly you have.

Hi jellycake, please don't hate yourself, although I know that's easy to do. The thing that you keep setting dates is a good thing. I hated smoking for the past few years, but kept doing it for most of the time (I quit a few times but ended up smoking again). But I think I have DONE IT this time.
Just keep trying and something will click for you.

You're not a failure, you're just deferring success.
I'm not the kind of person who benefits from quit dates, it just makes me scheme to avoid having to do it when the time comes, but even knowing that I would routinely set a date to quit. Just part of the process to get to that moment, not some date in the future when I will quit smoking, but right here, right now. That was 4 days ago.

Thank you all very much for these comments which have really helped me. I am now following your own journeys.
