This to shall pass

Hello everyone my cravings are quite high tonight I dont know why. I am keeping busy by coming onto this site and reading stories and comments and commenting on stories and now writing a post. It sure beats having a cigarette and means once these urges pass I will still be a non smoker. Have a magical evening everyone.

Hi Jess. I'm going good.
I must admit this morning at work I had the feeling of
O i would like a smoke right about now.
But it passed and I forgot all about it.
Them few minutes feel like a life time but it does pass and I felt much better that I got through it.
I no what it's like with cravings but just think to yourself well all I'm going to achieve is I will smell bad and I will feel awful that I give it to the addiction and it does nothing for me.
It will.pass really just give it time.
Walk outside for few minutes
Orr like you said read some stories or what some youtube videos on giving up smoking
The benefits are so worth it.
Don't give it
You have got this be strong. We can beat this. ♥️💪💪💃

Stay strong and commitment.. nothing shouldn't be stronger than your willingness to be non smoker.. ;)

Hi Gemma thank you for your reply and thanks for the tip on going outside for a few minutes I did that as soon as I read it and took a few deep breaths of fresh air. I have just put my teeth whitening stuff on and will chill out for an hour than its off to bed. Nope not one puff ever. That's correct Gemma this too shall pass and when it does I will still be a non smoker. Thanks again Gemma have a magical evening xo

I always find fresh air helps me so I do go outside and look at my beautiful plants
I got right into some gardening and i really enjoy it. And yea good deep breath of fresh air.
I find also by the time i have come on here and read some stories and by the time I'm finished reading and looking at stories
The craving has passed. Me 2 also bed time
Have a lovely evening xo

Thank you matik_one I will be remaining a non smoker. I will be remaining strong and committed and I am willing to do what I have to do to remain a non smoker. Thank you so much for your comments. Have a magical night

Hang in there Jess, because tomorrow will be another fantastic smoke free day😀

Thank you new chapter our electricity has just gone out our suburb is experiencing a black out so I am off to bed. Another fantastic smoke free day accomplished 🌌💃

Each and every day we stay smoke free in the beginning is a massive step towards our future freedom. We tend to think about it less and less until our past smoking history is entirely forgotten except perhaps for brief seconds sporatically. Have plans ready to divert your attention and confirm your vow to be a non-smoker. It is worth the effort. Good Job. Keep posting if and when you need to!

Hello again JessFree, we all have these little urges now again when we are overwhelmed by some situations. Take one day at a time during these moments, Try to strengthen your quit by saying to yourself or writing or other method NOPE (not one puff ever) this will keep you strong and it does work. Fresh air is also a good idea, you have plenty of support so keep on working on it and keep on posting.

Jess stay on course. You can overcome this nico-demon. As time goes by it'll get easier and easier and one day you'll be over the hump. Chewing gum and drinking water helped me tremendously. Also, I had a straw in case of emergency that I sucked air through it. Sounds ridiculous but it helped me. Whatever works for you use it. Good luck and stay strong.

Thank you so much everyone. The urges all passed and I came through remaining a non smoker. Happy happy happy days xxoo

Thank you for your insight and experience robn. I can see how much further along in my mindset I am becoming. Each time I read a comment from folks like your good self who are further down the non smoker path than I am I can relate so much more to what you are all saying. When i first came on here a large part of my mindset was I know what I'm doing and I have all the answers for myself. How mistaken I was. I am so grateful I have been able to quash some of my false pride and take on the wise words of others. No doubt if I had not done this I would not be the non smoker I am today. With the double duplicating I had the same issue a couple of times I realised I would hit post and think it hadnt posted and hit it again only to find it had posted the first time. It was usually on my phone this happened not on my lap top. xo
