I love waking up with freed up lungs

Happy Sunday everyone. I love it when I wake up in the morning and can easily take a few deep breaths and feel how much more air my lungs can take in. I love hitting the pillow at night knowing I have been blessed with another smoke free day. I love being able to participate in this community. Thank you to who ever came up with the idea of this platform and thank you to those who made it happen. I love looking in the mirror to see how nicely my teeth are coming up after many years of yellow teeth, they are whitening up beautifully and I am able to smile without any self consciousness. I was feeling a little bored yesterday so I went for a drive to another town and was able to shout myself and partner a new hat each and lunch, I was also able to treat myself a tarot reading for a bit of fun. Its lovely to have the extra cash to do such things with. Today I am going to the markets and if I want to treat myself a bite to eat or purchase something that catches my eye than I can because I have the money in my pocket. These are the treats I am able to give myself since quitting smoking. I also got myself a tin money box that can only be opened with a can opener and I put a set amount of cash in it each week. I put my quit date on the top of it and will open it up with a can opener in a years time. I love being a non smoker and I love the freedom that comes with it. No longer am I dictated to by the addiction of smoking. I am free. Have a magical smoke free day everyone xo

So great post.. Grateful for you.. keep going and share your inspiring stories.. :)

Sounds like a great day out and isn't it wonderful to be able to go out and not worry about when and where to have a smoke?
Well done you deserve to treat yourself.
And breathing in fresh air is also a great way to help our lungs get back to good function.
Not toxic smoke that our poor lunch couldn't get fresh air into.
And cleaner teeth is also great.
Congratulations 🎊🎊

It sounds like you are serious this time! You have given thought to and laid the in groundwork in preparation. This is a different time, a different quit and can result in success. Just consider the others are practice runs leading up the the end deal. Each attempt brings us closer to that brass ring. We can quit smoking when we want it enough and when we believe that we can. You have already confronted your fears and won round one. You are here, and we hope to teach you things which will motivate you even more.
Cravings are but mere thoughts. Don't debate with the devil in your head taunting you to smoke. Move on and dismiss the idea. Desire freedom and all the wonderful changes ahead as a non-smoker. Remember that you are not losing anything, not missing anything, but gaining so much! No non-smoker has ever envied a smoker.

Ooops, posted the above on the wrong post. Sorry Jess, it was meant for a new comer.
Jess, you are doing so well and such an inspiring post! I hope you will let us be a part of your can opening party! Treating yourself with the money saved is such a great idea that I forget to recommend ......There are so many natural benefits without! I wish I could see you lovely smile, I feel your renewed self confidence and pride in your posts. Yes, the freedom itself is so wonderful, the regained sense of smell, breathing, energy and overall health is astonishing. Being able to do those extra things that make you happy are great ideas as is saving for a dream trip. There is a whole new world out there!
Any one can quit smoking. Embrace it. You can do it too!

You got the best attitude. You're making everybody motivated to stay Quit.

Thank you PuffNoMore that is very kind of you to say. I wouldn't be where I am without all of you i have taken yours and others suggestions in regards to reading Allen Carr's book and borrowed 2 from the library one being easy way to stop smoking and the other being easy way for women to stop smoking I am looking forward to finding out what the difference is if any. I read the first one many years ago guess I just didn't have a ready mindset must of still been in practice for this time. I use to balk at the word mindset when it came to quitting smoking but gratefully thanks to all you folks who talk about the mindset I now understand what you were all talking about. My mindset now is strong and there seems to be no hardness in being a non smoker. I have so much to look forward to and feel so fortunate to of become an ex smoker. I feel as though I have living under a magic wand these past 2 and a bit years I'm just bursting into life. You have yourself a magical day PuffNoMore ❤️🧚

I'm having a chuckle to myself after reading about how you have two Allen Carr's books. lol. Because I have two as well! I purchased two of his books at the same time and half way through his best selling book, I knew I was done with the smokes. I took a couple of day's to finish the book, whilst puffing on something I didn;t enjoy anymore and I still have my second book virtually unread. I only needed the first book. So funny but true.
PS,, My unread book is titled..
"THE Only way to Stop Smoking Permanently"

And Jess. I was at first abuff and non-believing this word mindset unfortunately. I went out in search of the meaning of it through my questioning comments and a couple of stories of my own.
Its something tangible when you discover it.
Its a mind game and best of fortune team.
