Update from iCanQuit

Hi iCanQuit Members,
We have fixed the technical issue. Thanks for your patience.
We’ve also made some changes to the top stories section. These are current stories and are now only from the last month. The reason for adding this section is to make it easier for new members to find some of the great conversations that are happening on the forum.
Thanks for your feedback and for always making sure this is a positive and supportive community.

Annoying, annoying, annoying. I don't even want to visit this site in its present chaotic state. I don't know what you are trying to do. Obviously non smokers and no idea about what subscribers want. Get rid of this. Before you do this perhaps you could ask subscribers. At nearly 4 years, I could never have achieved this with your current thinking. You don't get it.

I think a story of 1 month old may be too old. As in that time the author has probably moved on?
The latest stories should be at the forefront to keep continuity.

Why are past stories more valuable than present ones? It makes no sense. The stories are there if they have the initiative or if I refer to my past postings if I think it would be of help to someone. I think that the other ideas i put forth would be more valuable and effective, but not if it make navigating more difficult. Most of us here are 60 plus, and not of the computer age. I know that i would probably be lost trying to use this app on my phone. I can't even send an e-mail!

Well, its a good idea in theory, but in practise its better to showcase the LATEST Stories, because its current and what is being talked about Now. Any new members can join in the conversation in real time, one month or a week maybe too late in the conversation. New members might jump into a conversation that has finished and over. I can foresee the confusion, annoyance and disappointment in new members waiting for a reply that doesnt come back simply because the story is over and dealt with weeks ago.
I cant see the new format being successful. Like she said above, members can access old stories with a little initiative and a click of members name (button).
There might be some other ways to improve this site, but I'm expecting major confusion with the 'TOP STORY' format
Thanks for your consideration

My grandson once asked me why i never moved the furniture around like his Nanna did. I simply smiled and replied "Because I got it right the first time". So am I to rearrange things to make my visiting grandson happy, or to keep things as is because of the functionality and pleasure it gives those who actually live in the space?
We have changed our lives to better ourselves by non-smoking. This change is clearly stressing those who most come and most participate in this community. Their absence would be a great loss. I am sure we appreciate the attempt to better the site, but obviously it is meeting with a lot of resistance. It is like calling your insurance only to be put on hold for an hour and then getting someone that you can't understand. If you get a person at all. Isn't technology wonderful.....Gone are the days of caring and personalized service.

You have managed to confuse everyone. What are you thinking? Why are you posting these conversations?
Often between those of the same group. Number of responders does not reflect much at all. Have you bothered to see the number of those? Same posters bumbing up the number. We have lost continuity as new posts are sent to the back-burner.

PS: Every story is a top story, no matter how few or many responses. Sometimes it takes just one comment that makes another sit up and take notice. Forever grateful, I read post by BigJon and he and Margaret Thatcher sorted me out 4 years ago. I don't think there were too many responses on his post. I will be eternally grateful...not to mention the $32000 saved from the ashtray.

Ok, what's uo now. I come on and the number of comments on a story are missing. How do i know what new comments were made? You can't tell me that that is for the better. I am not searching every story in case someone else commented. I have a pretty good idea what is what.
This has to change
Very Very UNHaPPY

So i now see that you moved it. Why??????? Are you trying to tick people off???? You are succeeding!!!

Hi Happiness,
Thanks for letting us know. We are not aware of the changes regarding the number of comments. Can you please clarify which story you are referring to and where the number of comments have moved to?
Once we hear back we will follow up with the technical team and investigate this further for you.
Thanks,
