The Battle is Won In Your Mind

Posted in Hints and tips
schedule 18 May 2019

No truer words or wiser advice can be given for this journey. A fellow quitter, adeptly named Battle Won posted this phrase and I want to share it. Once we make up our minds, we go on to achieve that goal, so fully engage the mind in that positive direction and it will take you there . Do not doubt nor resist the journey. You should know before starting out that nicotine has done nothing for you, and that cigarette smoking is not only becoming more socially unacceptable, it has taken its toll on our health and wealth. You have already decided that you want to be free of it. Now Believe that you can.

Make up your mind to take back the control, because you can.

You have the desire and the will to...

You have a plan.

You have untold support.

You do not fear this journey but embrace it and the rewards that shall be yours.

A craving is but a mere thought, and your desire for freedom is much larger and stronger than a mere craving.

Think positive and stay positive. Don't debate with the devil, just turn your thoughts away and ignore him. Know he is begging and you are in control. He left me alone after just 5 days.

The Battle IS won in the Mind!

schedule 18 May 2019

Yes Happiness,

That Battle is won and lost in the mind.

To Quit the smokes, the mind has to be on the same path as the heart. We usually start off with both, but it seems that its the mind that is the weaker?

Anybody thinking about quitting needs to be super positive so that you want to not smoke more than you want to. Give yourself 5 days and you could be free like Happiness above. Once we make up our MIND

You will get there someday PuffNoMore. I don't know of anyone who has tried harder than you. I wish I knew what it is that holds you back. The good news is that you are still here and searching for that key. We all hope you find it. You have quite the support group going, maybe you are afraid you will lose all the attention! Just kidding of course. Keep the faith PuffNoMore. You have a big heart. Maybe it is what needs changed? ummmm The mind can rationalize whereas the heart does not..... so what to do?

Do you love life? List the reasons why.....Do you love yourself enough to care about yourself? Do you love someone else enough to spare them grief?.

Do something that makes you feel good about yourself? Find the reasons to save yourself from a horrible fate. Scare yourself silly? Maybe searching your soul for these answers will bring some light.

Keep trying and thinking and doing positive PuffNoMore. Your day will come.

Thank you

When I'm ready I'll put my mind, heart and soul into 5 days and see what happens. You may get alot of people reading this and they say "I'll give 5 days a go"....and away we go.

schedule 18 May 2019

I am glad you said. ..."When you are ready" so people don't just jump. I not implying that it IS easy for most, just that it CAN be. Mu husband and my daughter did not experience much cravings after the initial nicotine is out of the system. Even that may not be necessary, but we EXPECT IT. Thinking positive gets you through it much quicker and easier than moping and feeling sorry for yourself and hating the journey rather than embracing it. You lose sight of the goal.

schedule 18 May 2019

Yes

Alan carr repeatedly mentions not to mop around.

I'll be ready when I have made my mind up, to embrace, rather than fear the journey.
