Im 26 days smoke free but still have cravings. Im using the lozengers but when a friend comes over for a visit he smokes so i take one smoke off him,but I don’t smoke during the week. It’s really hard not to smoke when he’s around. Anybody have any suggestions on how not to ask for a smoke?

Craves last about the same time it’s takes to smoke a cigarette , associations are harder to break . If you smoke with friends avoid those situations until you are stronger . It’s temporary . Tell them why . Perhaps do phone calls for a period of time . Tell them they can help you by not smoking in front of you or offering a puff . One is never enough . Truthfully you have choices here . It is your quit and no one can make you smoke but you. Remember it takes many steps to light up but just one thought process during that time will keep you quit always . Choose nope and voila no more craves .

Are you able to ask your friend not to smoke when he visits or are you able to remove yourself from him for a few minutes when he smokes? If these two options are not possible than I would suggest you quietly say to yourself with each breathe in "this too shall pass" Best of luck 😊

Remember that quitting smoking is choice that you made and that a friend would respect,

i chose to join my friends who smoked on breaks, I quit smoking to live, not stop living, l broke its mental hold on me as well as the addiction,

We actually give up nothing and gain everything!
