I have decided it is time to quit
I have given up before for 7 years a couple of times and started again to be social
I find it harder now as we are both at home and my husband smokes any positive thoughts to help would be great

I think smokers these days are smoking more addictive products?
In decades past, Quitting was easier!
Big Tobacco recognized long ago that smoking was being fazed out and make cigarettes with secret potions and recipes to make colonel sanders secret herbs & spices only slightly irresistible.
Welcome to this site. And I apologize for no positive thoughts going out. The truth is smoking kills is written all over cigarette packets in this country .
Getting back to your non-smoker status should be a major priority as soon as possible is my advice.
Before it kills you!

Did you actually make a conscious choice to start smoking again after 7 years?
What did you not like about being a non-smoker?
Do you really feel it made you more sociable?
I really would be interested in your reply. Most people make a slip and have regrets. Some have not found the mindset and therefore are not comfortable with their new status. When everyday seems a trial it can be overwhelming I am sure.
Smoking really does not do anything for us except to alleviate the craving the nicotine itself causes, and the ingrained motion and belief that becomes "natural" to us smokers. When we look at smoking differently and welcome the change rather than fear it, we can enjoy being non-smokers immensely.
I would appreciate some enlightenment as I could not imagine "choosing" to smoke once finding my freedom after so many years.
