I ‘ve been smoking for almost 60 years. I quit once for about 5 years. I’ve quit many other times. I used to smoke cigarettes but I’m smoking cheap cigars now. My lungs are bad and getting worse. I have to quit or I think I will die in the next year or two. I smoke in secret. I’m sure my wife knows and some of my golf friends. I am determined to quit this time. I’d appreciate any help I can get in this forum.

Paidi, stay very close to this site. I too was what I called a "closet smoker". Although, I am sure many probably knew I smoked from the smell (even though I tried to hide the smell). Don't you feel sneaky about this? I'm sure you will be MUCH happier and more confident once you quit smoking.

You too can do this. There are many successful members in this support community. Some have quit for years and they still come back to hold our hands. I would suggest read, read and read some more! Post us with your thoughts your questions and concerns. It might take a bit, but there always seems to be someone out there to answer your post.

It's never too late to quit. I had smoked for 50 so I'm kinda in the same vote. You will not regret this. I smoked so much of my life I too needed to get help to even begin the process. That's where this community comes in handy. Read on a daily basis. New posts as well as old.

Everyone is different, but as I have said to some, I cut down for 3 weeks then cold turkey and have not looked back since. I feel so much more confident and I no longer feel like a "sneak".

You can do this Paidi. Stick with us, your new QuitFam!!!
