Start date

Hi All
First time poster here but I am hoping someone has/had a similar feeling to me.
I really really really want to quit. I have so much hate for smoking yet I find myself still smoking. I set myself a quit date and am so determined to quit then when the date comes, I push back the date or say “after this packet”. I’m scared/worried of the hard work and awful feelings that is to come and find it easier to smoke and quitting is “too hard”. I really want to be a non-smoker!
Was anyone else the same? If so, how did you overcome it and eventually quit?

Your mind will follow what you want. Read and find the desire to quit and to believe in yourself. We all started out with doubts, but we can quit, and easily too. It does not have to be that difficult. I quit very easily. The mindset makes it possible.

Hi NJC,I hope your having a great day,I suggest you read the progressional quit stories all of the way through of peoples experiences on the forum,to see all of a certain persons posts, click on there names at the top left corner of a post they’ve made, and you will be able to read all of there posts right back from the beginning when they first quit, arm yourself with ideas on how to fill the gaps on the times that your most likely to want to smoke,do some reasearch and I look foreword to seeing your future posts

Hi there NJC. I can relate to your story! After all, It has been part of my story for much of my smoking history.
How many more packets will I buy before THE QUIT? I would ask myself.
The conclusion came almost 1 year ago and I can thank the timely support from comments and the learning I;ve received from members advice and their stories from this site.
Push past any discomfort you may experience and you'll find yourself free from the scourge like so many of us have done.
I dont smoke and trust that you dont either.
