I was smoking yesterday and I was thinking how many years it is that I am smoking?? the last time I had asked this question from myself the answer was 10 years so at first I thought it should a little more than 10. However, I realised it after a few seconds that the true answer is 14 years. I was terribly shoked. I just put out my cigarette and decided to quite. It is the first day and I hope that I can make it. Overally I am feeling all right but the temptation just doesnt go away...

Hi Alimoh and welcome. Well done on making the decision to quit. Keep reading these stories, chewing gum is very helpful, stay positive and good luck on your journey.

Hi, well done. That first step of making the decision to stop is a tough one. Stay busy, have a list of jobs you need to get done to help you stay distracted. Hang around with non smokers or people who know you've stopped. Stay strong and keep posting on here, it helps as you are doing something with your hands. You can do this
