Champix works with you!

I have smoked for over 35 years and loved it......but hated it for all the usual reasons. 10 years ago I tried champix, I followed dr.s instructions and took the pills for 2 weeks while I smoked I set my quit day for day 15. The days leading up to my quit I felt I needed to smoke as much as I possibly could but to my disappointment they just weren't quite as appealing. I quit on day 15 and was smoke free for 6 months until at a party and I thought "sure I can have one"....... Wrong!  It didn't take long till I was back full time smoking.  So over the past 10 years since then I tried to quit a zillion times, nothing worked so I decided it was Champix time again.  I did the exact same thing as las time, day 15 I quit. Well it's day 8 smoke free and I feel so good! It's amazing how clear breathing feels and I smell good too! :). This time I won't make the mistake of thinking in can have one cigarette at a party - I am an addict - I am done and so happy! Good luck to all of you!

Thanks for your story KAM, I'm on day 15 of champix and it's my quit day. Feeling all the usual things that come with nicotine withdrawals, but like you, I don't enjoy the smokes anymore so even though my body craves it, I really don't want one.

I wanted to add that I did have a bit of nausea
the first couple of days on champix but then I started taking it only with a meal, at breakfast and dinner and I have not had a problem since.

Hoping today will be a better day.... Gonna take pill with my boiled eggs and nite pill with supper. Gym this afternoon and finally Sun is out where I live. So outdoor air will help too. Gonna kick this gross habit once and for all. Just need support and guidance. Thanks
